The RUSH are a high-energy live wedding, corporate event and party band based in Manchester.Our repertoire spans decades of brilliant music, from classic soul, Motown, Hip Hop, RnB, rock 'n' roll and pop to indie anthems, dancefloor favourites and modern hits. We don't arrive with one rigid set list that gets played in exactly the same order at every event. We read the room, judge what your guests are responding to and shape the performance around the people in front of us.The aim is simple: create an incredible atmosphere and keep your dancefloor packed.

How long have The RUSH been performing?

The RUSH were formed in 2014, although the musicians in the band have considerably more collective experience performing at weddings, corporate events, festivals, theatres and live music venues, and.. were playing together even before the band was formed.Lead singer Gavin Jones has spent many years performing at and managing live events, as well as more than 15 years DJing weddings and parties. That experience is a huge part of what we offer. We're not simply turning up to play a few songs; we understand how the entire evening should flow.

Are the musicians in the videos the musicians who will perform at our event?

Our promotional material is designed to represent the core sound, style and energy of The RUSH.Like virtually every busy professional event band, there may occasionally be a change due to illness, touring commitments or circumstances beyond anyone's control. When that happens, we only use trusted professional musicians who know the material and can perform it to the standard our clients expect.Failing serious illness, injury, or death, our singer will always be Gav, from the video's. To give you an idea of how committed he is, he has sang with Covid - twice, Chicken Pox and a broken ankleWe don't send out an unrelated band under The RUSH name. The integrity of the performance matters enormously to us.

What makes The RUSH different from other wedding bands?

Experience, versatility and the ability to read a room.Plenty of bands can rehearse a set list. Knowing which song to play next when the dancefloor changes is a completely different skill, which is why we are one of the only bands that never writes a set list out before the gig, we react song by song to what is happening in front of us. After hundreds of weddings and events, we've become very good at judging an audience and building the atmosphere throughout the night. Clients also book us because we can provide much more than a standard live-band package. Depending on your plans, we can offer DJ services, acoustic performances, DJ and sax, roaming entertainment, expanded line-ups and additional wedding-hosting options.Most importantly, we genuinely care whether your event is brilliant.

Question 6

Can we book a larger version of the band?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.For larger weddings, corporate events, awards evenings and high-end productions, we can expand the band with additional musicians and create a bigger showband-style experience (See Here)Tell us about your venue, guest numbers, budget and the kind of atmosphere you'd like to create, and we'll recommend the option that makes the most sense. Bigger can be spectacular, but we won't automatically recommend extra musicians when the classic line-up would suit the event perfectly.

Do you offer an acoustic option?

Yes.The RUSH Acoustic Duo is ideal for drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts, daytime entertainment, intimate parties and venues where a full band isn't required.An acoustic performance can also work brilliantly alongside the full evening band, giving you live music at different points throughout the day without everything feeling the same.

Do you offer roaming entertainment?

Yes. Walking Heads provide lively roaming entertainment that can move between guests rather than remaining on a traditional stage.This works particularly well during drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts, corporate networking events and occasions where you'd like the entertainment to feel interactive and spontaneous.

Yes.DJ Sax is available as an add-on option to the band. It works brilliantly for modern weddings, corporate events, late-night parties and clients looking for a club-style atmosphere after the live band.

Can Gavin act as our wedding host?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gavin can provide additional wedding-hosting and singing services, helping introduce important moments and keep the day moving naturally.This can be particularly useful for couples who want someone experienced and confident looking after announcements without the occasion feeling stiff or overly formal.Gavin will DJ for the period of the Wedding Breakfast and sing in between the courses with the aim of building up the energy nicely in to the evening.;
